Looking at his stats, Trent (Nothing) hasn't posted anything on forum since 2015. I have no further information on him, but if it is of any use I do have both guns, awaiting the day my fingers start working properly again. There has been a break through and the latest drugs do seem to be improving things and my sense of touch is improving daily.

Here's an Irish toast for healing:
Here's that you will have comfort from suffering, lend skill to the hands of the healers, and bless the means used for your cure. And remember; the 1918 Thompson was a favorite of the Irish Revolution (thanks to the plenty left from lack of use during the Great War)! See? There's a connection for the thread!

I know what you mean Ringmaster. As a long term career soldier, I handled many different and sophisticated weapons, but there's just something special about the old Chicago Typewriter. I guess it's the Bad Boy image. It is nice to handle as a short-range weapon though and fired on single shot from the shoulder, it was surprisingly accurate.

I was fortunate enough to meet a collector who had several of these weapons. He'd acquired them from a southern police station that has stored them since Prohibition.
They were surprisingly comfortable to hold, natural to balance, and felt very functional. He also had a BAR and comparing them was fascinating; the Thompson so much more elegant aside the clumsy Browning. These were the most fascinating weapons I've ever explored!
