bolt handle and started the sight. The Boolean operations in meta 4 look a lot like the results in lightwave, so i ran a test hit through pepakura. As i suspected pepakura reads meta4s booleans the same way as lightwave. That is it reads a mix of before faces and after faces, making an unfoldable model. so i spent the better part of the day rebuilding the objects i booleaned, so pepakura could read it correctly.

Has any one made the one from E-Cards yet? I bought two old hand guns whit the thought of giving them to a freind who does a lot of stuff for me. I guess I will have to find something else to give to him after looking over the model and plans. This will be a killer.wc

This is a great design. I like the attention to realistic detail you have put into it.

I have a bunch of manuals and some similar period stuff from my research for a writing project. If you need anything to get specific measurements or operational instructions that would help you designing, PM me.

Thanks again! Will you be designing the small drum, full 100 round drum, or the clips?

Regards,

The DC

I made it way back in 2010 Waddy, but no pics ... 'cos the rug rats destroyed it in 2011. Lately, I've been thinking of doing it again, but I always did prefer the earlier design, so I'll be waiting for this one to be published now.

Back then someone did do a build thread on it ... I thought it was Doctormax, but I can't find the thread now. However, Sidewinder also built it and made a much better job of it than me or Doc. Pictures here ... Trents M1A1 Thompson

Thank you!
THE DC- I have a full scale prop disassembled on my desk.lol im ding the 50 rnd drum and ill probably do a 30 rnd clip.(easy to modify it to a 20 rnd clip if wanted)

got a little side tracked and started messing with textures a bit. theres a lack of documentation on meta 4s uv system so i cant figure out how to get some of it to work correctly. but...

spent the afternoon stabbing at buttons to see how they work and was able to figure out a few more things in the meta4 uv system.

Okay, but after ALL this work, you'll have to resize the 50r drum to make a 100r!!!!!
