Hey nothing don't just do the Astute for me, I sent the plans in good faith. I didn't want anything back, you've done plenty of models in the past that I've downloaded for free.

By the way this ship looks good, should have said earlier.

I've looked over the schematics (haven't printed the kit out yet) and am a little confused about the parts numbering on the hull and sponsons. Also, any tips on building them, such as do you build the hull sides first and then insert the formers?

rmks2000. each section is a contained module. meaning it doesnt rely on other sections for construction. the top structures fold down the sides put in formers. the mid sections glue sides to bottom then place formers. lower hull build the formers and roll skin onto them. sponsons score centerline form v and put in formers. does that help?

paul- thank you again. i have a lot of work done on the astute. besides i like the looks of it

There is a cardstock model avaialble at Ecardmodels.com, that would be a good starting point. In particular, here; 1/200 LSC2 USS Independence Paper Model It's the same model you can see being developed earlier in this thread.

Thanks Scott,

Those plans i found somewhere else as free download (if anyone need, just ask and i will send).
Unfortunately, those are helpfull for outside details like windows, etc. I need hull sections and water lines because intention is to build 1/65 boat with graupner water jet engines. This scale was result of minimum inner space of center hull required to assamble turbines. This is good also for smoke simulators, evacuation pipes for cooling water, etc.
As a sample, i just finished after 2 years and from two "build the bismark" kits, R/C bismark and tirpitz. Because my very young son is interested to help his father and to build something, i decided targets for next 2-3 years: LCD2, Visby Class Corvette - "GHOST" and 1/6 JU87D2 winter cammo 1944 russian front. I selected those ships because they ar spectacular on one side, large scale building allow to make very nice details and are easy to build shapes. Maybe later my son will be more interested in research, read and learn than usual youth habbits - facebook, drink and clubs...
Back on track - Thanks again for your comment and maybe you know something also about hull sections and water lines drawings.

Adrian
