Another Oddball-o-Rama D558

Since Avro202 has already provided a very clean build for this model I thought I would go the artistic route. Here is a teaser "in-flight photo" and the model as originally shot without a background. Off we go into the......

I will post more photos as I get through playing with them on Paint.Net

Given the lack of response to my initial post and the fact that I've been building concept boat models for the past week or so, I think I'll just go ahead and post the photos shot against a white or mostly white background. So here they are.

I'm sorry. I thought it was very well done, but I was really just glancing at the forum Wednesday as it was another long day at work.

I like it on the backdrop, though I know others like a blank background so that the model takes center stage. Is that a straw in the exhaust?

No need to be sorry dude. The support stick is bamboo covered with paper to help blend in with the background. Speaking of white I still plan on doing the white version of the D-558 if no one objects.

Doh! I must have missed this when it first popped up.

Very nice D-558. I love the "in flight" photo!

Tell me; how did you get the nice glossy look to it?

Thanks for the kind comments guys! The glossy finish is due to multiple coats of krylon clear acrylic.
