Rutan Proteus
OK how about the Rutan Proteus as a spy plane. I was looking for some pics of the Proteus and came across a web sit showing a image of one in dark grey upper and black lower and thought that's cool, so here is my take on this idea, The site is on using Proteus as an atmospheric satellite
of sorts not as a spy plane but I thought what the heck it looks cool so here we go.......Rich Almost forgot the link to the site http://www.ausairpower.net/AC-0999.html

I don't understand any of this, but thats okay...
the plane does look interesting with the night time paint scheme. I've always been fascinated by the use of black paint on many aircraft as a camo colour. Obviously it works at night, but I think it could work in other weather conditions. Interesting that I was just reading up on WW2 Spitfire colours and a common underside colour was ...pink. I didn't know this. But apparently it has something to do with the colour transition across the horizon ...or something like that... that makes the pink blend in better than gray or blue.
