Thanks for the kind comments Kuba, Glen and Don.

It is as Don says a very simple model. A real enthusiast could of course add utility and tool boxes, spare grousers, cables etc. But I think it looks fine the way it is.

As for the undercarriage, it did seem a shame to wrap a flat track around all that detail. Although the build up is not accurate it does add a lot to the model.

~ cheers

I think you've got it about right - there was only a single prototype of the 4TP built. The few images of the 4TP seem to show a "clean" vehicle without the clutter associated with operational vehicles. I'd guess the tools and stuff were carried by an accompanying truck when the 4TP was undergoing trials.

Regards,

Charlie

I think "simple" was the wrong word for me to use. There is certainly plenty of detail and the undercarriages are anything but simple. There is an austere elegance about those tanks.

After following both of your excellent builds and having so much fun with a MM kit of my own, I just had to have copies of both of these to add to my never ending pile of good intentions. I just went shopping and picked up the MM 9/99 4TP, MM1/97 7TP and the MM1-2/06 Typ1 Chi-he from the paper model store. I don't know how soon I get around to them, but I'll add them to the pile.
