LOL - nope, no threnodies - just a few chickadees. The T-bolt is slowly grinding its way to completion. My least favorite combo has to be fiddly bits + wire + tubes...wait a minute, that's landing gear! Thankfully, Gerardo showed the way.

That looks good, Ron, but is the threnody in the thrush family, I can't seem to recall seeing one, must be strictly an East coast variety?

From Mobely Q. Armistead's "Winged Things of the Northern Hemispere" - [The Carolina Threnody (Lamentatus Carolensis) is a distant relative of the Mourning Dove. Its keening cry is particularly eerie when heard at night, in a darkened cabin, with your first cousin Bubba.]

There has been no sighting of the bird since Jesse Helms declined to run for re-election.

I believe there is a European Threnody (Lamentatus Gregoriosus) but its population has seen a sharp decline in recent years.

See? I know my byrds.

Was Lamentatus Gregoriosus named for St. Gregory Thaumaturgus? If so, I think Barry would call it a wizard bird, as is your A-10.

Well, I guess this one gets added to the "stuff the OldTroll never finished" locker (which is overflowing.) I cannot find the instructions or the last few landing gear bits and the model itself has taken a few hits from grandkids and a house-cleaning spouse. It certainly wasn't going to be a front runner anyway. To those who like the aircraft, this is a fine model with excellent fit as evidenced by Milenio's great build. The color registration might be a little dodgy but may be be perfect. I recommend this one and any others by the same designer.

A real pity, Ron. I really wanted to see this one finished. Are you sure you can't just fake the rest? I'll never tell. Besides, I believe that the in the original contest, a model was finished when the builder said it was...
Looks finished to me!
Chris

GEAR UP!

There, that should solve some of the missing parts issues.
