OTDAEABT Contest - Maly Modelarz Mk VI Crusader III

I received my entry today. Looks like a strait forward build. Pretty much all one color. No camo, just brown. I haven't built a Maly kit before but already the printing doesn't impress me. Wish me luck.

The MM model was designed by Marian Sobel so it should fit together ok. It's hand drawn and simplified - the model ignores the Christie suspension with the characteristic double side plates. It models a Crusader from the 1st Polish Armoured Division which spent WW2 (up until D-day) in Scotland. The Crusaders only were used extensively in action in North Africa - in between breakdowns.

The colour is a bit strange - it doesn't approximate either khaki brown or khaki green (http://www.afvnews.ca/camouflage/breuro.html).

Regards,

Charlie

Fast progress! It's beginning to look like a tank.

It's a Marian Sobel design - I should have elaborated - he's the designer who did most of Hainski's armour models - they fit together pretty well.
