OTDAEABT Contest - Maly Modelarz BAe Sea Harrier

OK..........mine arrived Saturday...........very well packaged I might add.

BAe Sea Harrier 4/94 (14 years old.........)

The coloring on the Sea Harrier is a little on the cartoonish side, along with the markings..........so we'll just have to see how it goes.

Since this will be my first ever book model...........I'm going to take some time and look at the instructions.............can't read them because I don't understand Polish:(

Oh...........my Indian Head Penny is a 1906 VF:D

I'll post pictures as soon as I start knife to book!

john

Started!

OK..................Here's the cover and sheets shot...............and Part 1 - 3 assembled.

Disclosure.........this model was designed to be assembled Butt Joint Style (are all Maty this way?)....... I really don't like that way .......... so I am creating my own tab strips. I'm also cutting off the bottom attached tab and and replacing it with a seperate tab so the seam fits better..............

Judges...........ruling?

That now makes two of us making join strips....does this constitute a rebellion?

Rooling? We don' need no steenking rooling!

I found nothing in the "Rules for Construction of Paper Miniatures in Silly Online Contests", 1907, Pumpernickel Press, Weisbaden. So, you go, John!

I am convinced after my own recent experience that joining strips are the way to go.

If anyone wishes to strip while building I feel that is an intensely personal decision that should be respected - but no YouTube, please!

Well I must admit that I believe a real modeler would use their butt rather than stripping.
