Lovely build! That's a sweet shot with the spinning prop.

Thanks guys! If I do a re-color and re-build I guess I'll have to lose the "slipper" tank. I'm pretty sure that they were used on the P-6 Hawk biplanes. Probably very functional but ugly! Next up though I probably need to get after that Model 95 mailplane.

Hi guys,

I decided to do a 1/48 scale re-color and build, mostly because I really like this model. Also I had already done a 1/48 build of the free pilot from Gremir.

So here's the pilot sitting in the cockpit tub. Probably should have taken the pic before closing up the sides......, Oh well maybe next time.

And here are a few pics of the pilot in the 1/48 Spitfire re-color. I did a quick (and messy) scratch build for a platform behind the pilot seat. Now I just need to add a couple of black boxes to represent radio equipment.

Haven't posted anything for awhile on this but I have done some building. I may not finish this smaller scale version of the original by the 17th but hey I'm still having fun with it. The wings are not yet glued on but that won't take much longer. It's all the smaller bits that will slow it up. Anyway here's the pics.

If the pilot looks that good in 1/48, it certainly raises hopes about the future of paper pilot figures. Good news! - L.

I love the Spit and the pilot, Cecil. Any plans for other SEAC builds in the future?

Has there ever been a Vultee Vengeance in paper?

Here's the progress to date on the 1/48 scale version of the MM MK VIII Spitfire. If I had actually finished it by the deadline I might have designated this version to be the one that gets judged.... Oh well... Other projects... work.... body aches....etc.

It will get finished....., eventually.
