OTDAEABT Contest - Maly Modelarz 5-6/94 A-10 Thunderbolt

I received it on Friday along with Halinski's Hawkeye and a two centuries old penny (1899) and it took about a week until I had the time to go to the post office and pick it up.

My cameras are packed somewhere until I move to my permanent house, hopefuly within a month, so I took one picture with the internet camera. I'll be building slowly, hopping this time I'll actualy finish a model

I apologize for the poor picture quality. But as you see I did finish one model (the scale cube - can I enter it to the freedownload contest?) and started with part#1 of the A-10. I'll use connecting strips instead of the multiple formers method.

Moshe, great to have you in the contest! Look on it as a chance to practice for the newer version that you have - LOL. Don't worry, picture quality will not count against you.

A little progress. My daughter took the picture with her cellphone. She comes home once a week, so I'll be posting pictures only on Fridays, and this is good since I build very slowly. Anyway, three fuselage parts so far, and I return to gluing formers back to back instead of connecting strips.

One other thing. Don't let any unauthorized personnel walk all over you and around the cutting zone, trying to bite your sleeve and rubb their back against your face while you are cutting some parts.

Those fuselage sections look very clean! Excellent build so far - and no sign of any four-legged unauthorized personnel.

Good job Moshe.
Word of advice when you get to the wings - laminate them with card on the inside, between the frames.
Paper is not the best qulaity in this kit and it will be sagging. This caused my 70% completed Warthog to get trashed.....
This also might apply to the largest segment of the fuselage to safeguard it during handling...
