Some of what I've been doing

Let's see if I can get this post right. This is the first time I've posted pictures so wish me luck I've put a scale cube in the pictures, it is the imperial version each square is 1/2".

Ok this first one is a umm pla pla pla oh I can't say it, it's not paper. As you can see it's kind of flown through a dust storm...yeah my house is dusty.
Some of what I've been doing-dsc00034.jpg

The next two are a Conestoga Wagon and a Stagecoach...they are constructed from raw paper
Some of what I've been doing-dsc00035.jpgSome of what I've been doing-dsc00036.jpg

This one is The Compass from Pirates of The Caribbean, including an inside shot. I downloaded these from The Disney Experience website.

The next three pictures are of the Dead Man's Chest also downloaded from The Disney Experience website.

My current build is a frustration build....I was getting frustrated with one of my other models (their pictures are to follow below). This model is the bottom of the box for Trent's 1851 Navy Colt....this thing was a pain, nothing wanted to fit right.

The last two models I purchased from Yees Job his website is . He has given me permission to post pictures but I can't give away or sell the models. ALTHOUGH IF someone wanted to purchase a completed model I can sell it, just not the patterns.

This one is an origami model of the Notre Dame Cathedral
(doesn't look like much does it?)

Maybe these two views are better

Now this last model is split between two different groups of pictures, the first group is what I'm working on and the second group is pictures of what the model will look like when completed, including two youtube videos.
This is a model of the V12 engine. There are a total of 1,978 pieces (ugh) and the measurements are 630mm x 405mm x 335mm (w/d/h). He doesn't list a scale so I'm not sure what scale it is, but if anyone knows engines they might be able to figure it out...this thing is almost 24" long if I'm not mistaken.

part of crank shaft (counter-weight) this will be one of the cylinder banks

Mike did you happen to check out the videos? They are amazing. I'm not sure how long it will take to finish the build. I did have the cylinders and pistons done and I screwed them up...too much glue mucho wrinkles. Building it isn't going to be the problem....where the hell am I going to put it?

Hi Rusty,

No, I haven't. My internet has been acting up for the last two weeks and everything hangs up when loading. Technician was supposed to stop by this week, but didn't so maybe next week....

I will check them out however once things are back to normal.

Nice looking models and a very interesting project you're doing!!

Mike

Hi Rusty,

Thank you for all the pics. I'm really looking forward to see you progress with the V12 engine. I tried that one but lacked the skills for it: my cylinder/piston pairs didn't really work together, so I stopped there... Anyway, I got a taste of the huge amount of effort that model requires. Good luck with it!

Eloy

More of what I'm working on. First is the SUN elementalist, the model will be roughly 5'5" tall when done. Pictures show the completed model (from their website) and my progress.
I'm also working on Julius Perdana's Optimus Primes, building a parallel build of both models. The new one I've doubling the scale to match the first model (as close to possible).

Enjoy

Rusty
