That would be an honor for me .

Finally, drawing is finished:

Now just export, painting and instructions.

There are 16 pages in total (the support column needs to be printed 4 times), mostly just B/W outlines, so no worries about our black ink supplies . Main parts are intended to be printed on some coloured paper (blue or something, so black labels will be readable on it, but it will look like space) and the star colour scheme in full colour. Let's hope it will work.

Overall shape ended up as a simple 30x30x30 cm cube. Quite boring, but easy to enclose in foil to prevent damage to the stars, and with enough space on the base plate to fit explanations on. Of course, custom modifications are possible.

Finished!

Here you can download the kit (if you get server error, don't panic, there have been some minor stability problems lately. Just try it few minutes later).
I still have to test build it.

Enjoy .

P.S.: Reducing colour depth from 24 bpp (truecolor) to 8 bpp (256 colours) in IrfanView or Paintshop doesn't preserve the colours exactly as they were, even if there are less than 256 of them in the original image. These programs run their dithering algorithms regardless of the actual number of unique colours and the results are the white not being really white and also greatly reduced number of colours. So I wrote another program to do this properly . I'll post this BMP chewer and the above mentioned CSV filter somewhere when they are ready.

Makes me wish that I could just build a starship and go out and fly amongst the stars even more.

betty hill star map too!

ok, so they changed the proceedure a little, i thought they were the stupidest ass's in the world until rickstef told me to look down a few buttons and i could do it, it was all my fault!!!
here is a cool way to do this map,
reflective bling stars,in a black curved box, with a red laser bouncing to and fro on them for the routes. i think i will do this some day.
by te way, for a starship enterprise mini, glenn jupp has on that is about 1 inch long and looks pretty good!
