Steampunk Sub

Michi suggested I post some pics here, so if you hate it, it's HIS fault!:p
Over on the Gn15 RR site, they're having a year long challenge for building a small layout using as much paper product as possible. My theme is Victorian Submarine Pirates, sort of a Jules Verne whimsey/fantasy. The centerpiece is this evil pirate sumarine. It's just a rough model, but I thought you might get a kick out of it.

It's all just scrap cardboard and some #110 card. Hope you like it.
Chris

DANG! Thats really good, even a scratch build!!!! Its way more polished than my polished builds - quite far from rough.

It looks wonderful

Did you generate the weathering within the computer or is it hand painted later either way it is magnificent just curious.

Very nice. I like the lot the steam punk theme.

I remember the old rpg Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. Sadly no more rpg's like that.

Awesome, Chris! It really has that Victorian feeling! Nice build for a "rough" model!

Thanks, guys. The weathering is all paint. Here it is during construction, in place in the layout;

As you can see, it's the biggest element of the layout!
