Building R2-D2

Finally got time to start building my own R2-D2 kit.

Inside the box, you’ll find 12 model sheets, instructions, two LED lights and a sound component, and a book about Artoo.

A few (well, a bunch of!

) hours later, and I got the read dome assembled with the lights and sound. Great! Hope I can get into it tomorrow…

Just got the body done.

Warning: The axles numbers were misplaced on instructions

Tip: when assembling the acoustic signaler (parts 42-45) and system vent (parts 31-34) - those oval 'holes' in the front, fold and glue one edge at a time.

I wasn't aware that the vents were opened in this kit!
