Set to stun!
I spent part of my UMT (Uninteruppted Modelling Time) building Michael Haggard's TNG Phaser (http://web.mac.com/michaelhaggard/iW...ee%20P.M..html) and with a little modification added a stripped down laser pointer/torch combo. The shell is 180gsm card, except for the trigger panel that I replaced with 2mm pasteboard. A few judicious cuts between the sections were all that were needed to mount the torch. It holds quite well without any additional formers. The last two pictures (sorry they're fuzzy) are held about a foot from a wall (shielded of course, otherwise they would disinegrate :D).
/OT I cut the torch/laser pointer from it's shell, removed the trigger buttons and soldered wires to separate switches mounted in the trigger section. The battery tube is held in place by a piece of 2mm paste board and the anode (normally the case) replaced with a piece of copper wire /OT. PS Hey, MOS95B, yours may be bigger, but does it do this?:D |
