Go for the Breyer brand of horses. They are very realistic. Two scale sizes 1:9 and 1:12.
There are lots of people around who dress these horses up with all kinds of harness including armor. Which means there are already some patterns out on the internet for it. Some people even put flocking on the models to simulate real horse hair and of course they do the mane and tail with fiber as well. |

Thank you very much for the information. I understand how you did it and I might try it out on another project that I wanted to to try out. Super great job. wc

Those look great! How tall are they when they are finished?

The models are 11 inches tall. They are same scale as the Barbi dolls.

Your knights look great! Really nice assembly work, especially on all those curved parts. Beautiful work with the silver wrapping paper, the seams and rivets came out so well. Excellent modeling!
