Great job on the automata Mike. Different subject for sure. I liked the video too. Thanks for including a link to it.

Thank you for sharing these spectacular automata.
I am in awe at both the design and building skills that went into the creche automatons, especially since they are from the era of hand drawn models.
Alas, I will be adding the ABC automatons to my ever increasing list of highly desired unobtainium.
This shows that current Japanese designers have stiff competition for the creation of splendid unobtainium. The Czech hand drawn models are works of art both before and after assembly.

More important question:
Does the Frog Chorus sing Paul's song?

Zax: thank you for sharing these lovely models. I've built the Frog Chorus and the Dancing Santa myself. Santa is a big hit in our home and he visits us to shake his butt every festive season. Regarding Christmas automata the most beautifully designed one I know of is Paperpino's Flying Santa:

Flying Santa / Babbo Natale Volante | paperPino

It's quite complex with plenty of moving parts; an interesting project. Pictures of my build:

I look forward to seeing more of your models. Keep up the good work.

Regards

Really nice automata of the Peace Dove.

I built the Flying Santa also. It was a while back. I posted a video of it working then noticed the wings were on backwards so I had to turn the wings around to the correct orientation.

The flying Santa is a real fun little build, well designed and goes together nicely, and like all other Paperpino's automata, a real crowd pleaser.
