The Augustine Bell - 1:50 - Ondrej Hejl

Hello

As between the model I do something quite different, the bell-chair with the Augustin bell.

This bell is located in the white tower of the Czech city HRADEC KRALOVE.

In the bow there are beautiful pictures of the city and bell, as well as a detailed description of the bell history in Czech, English and German.

With 50 components on four A4 pages, the number of parts is quite clear.

I start with the bottom plate, stick this on 3 mm Finnpappe.
The joints between the floor stones are traced with a ball-point pen which has been written down and irregularly pressed in.
I grow the wooden floor with an old wire brush that hits the hammer. This results in irregular notches in the wood.
The whole is then still dirty with gray wax creep.

So the beginning is done, LG Kurt

A very interesting model, Kurt. Thanks for the information on the techniques you are using to make realistic old stone and wood.

I look forward to this one as I have it to build.

I was going to do it some time back. I reduced it to build to a smaller scale and then completely forgot about it!

So it goes....

Anyway I can enjoy your build now.

Hello friends ,

enjoy it

Part 6 first times carve and cut out, well before mold ...

... first glue a side piece. After extensive drying, the component can be closed.

regards
Kurt

Good job on that.

I had a look my unmade model today - all the woodwork is pretty complicated. So this is a great start.

Thanks to Kevin and Don!

The two columns, parts three and four ...... are assembled.

Connect the four parts and place them on the base plate.

Best regards
