OK, I guess I was not the first one to come up with this idea. I got my idea from the shower stall in my flat (which had a checkered tile pattern and looked like a scale stall.). Had I known that someone came up with the same idea earlier, I would have mentioned it.

It is a nice way of showing off 10 years success!

I built one just I came back from my holidays, also to give to my hands an opportunity to get used to the paper modeling again.

But .... It's without the bottom!

i came Back to inkscape and i rearranged/added/corrected the elements.

Now it has the bottom and some improvement.

If someone is interested i can share this version.

Best, Nando

The original file had no bottom, so our repaint has no bottom.

Ok, ok, my remark was not for underline some sort of mistake in your design.
When i completed the original version i noted that it was some weak and that the lak of the bottom was visible when the cube was used vertically. So i duplicated the back side for the bottom and i splitted one tab for a better joint. That's all. No criticism but my aim was only to improve this beautiful gift for our anniversary. I'm sorry if my intention was misrepresented in my post.
Best, Nando
