Valentines Day Card
Valentines Days upon us, I decided I would quickly turn out a pop-up card.
Rather then a cat or heart, I wanted something a bit more "wow", so made a geometric pop-up card. Here's the result - a bit fragile, but I am happy with the end result. Ready to be written on and put in an envelope!

Got the idea from a photo, Michael. If you look at it carefully you will get the idea easily enough of how to cut it. out.
The biggest issue actually was trying to fold it without bending anything that shouldn't be bent. Took ages to do and work out - longer than any part of making it! And I nearly messed it up...

Very good idea, Kevin; and well executed too. Was the recipent duly impressed?

Looks great!
I thought about trying a pop-up card for Lil, but ended up writing a poem inside a red outlined heart and gluing it into a blank card with a cat on the front. The traditional box of chocolates, a dozen red roses, and dinner at Issei Noodle helped make up for the lack of V-Day card inventiveness. Perhaps next year. |
