Scratch build using wood clothespins

Howdy,

A Made in China package of wood clothespins purchased at the 99 cent store came with a surprise.

The disassembled clothespins exposed unfinished wood bottom surfaces. However, the soft wood easily sands smooth using sandpaper wrapped dowels and block. Though a number of clothespins from the package had to be discarded or reassembled as they were not useable for this wood model scratch build.

Thanks guys,

my wife even liked it....it is not an airplane.

I intend to prime and paint the thing, but visitors like the
natural wood.

Bob,

For finishing use tang oil. works very well in small parts. If you need some I can bring some to the next meeting.

Mickey Mouse Rocker

Howdy,

Here is a second clothespin build this time painted in Mickey Mouse colors and intended as a holiday gift for a Disneyland infatuated gal.
