Scratch build using wood clothespins
Howdy,
A Made in China package of wood clothespins purchased at the 99 cent store came with a surprise. The disassembled clothespins exposed unfinished wood bottom surfaces. However, the soft wood easily sands smooth using sandpaper wrapped dowels and block. Though a number of clothespins from the package had to be discarded or reassembled as they were not useable for this wood model scratch build. BP |

Thanks guys,
my wife even liked it....it is not an airplane. I intend to prime and paint the thing, but visitors like the natural wood. BP |

Bob,
For finishing use tang oil. works very well in small parts. If you need some I can bring some to the next meeting. Jim
