Part 5. The Blackboard.

I mentioned in the last post that the blackboard is an essential accessory. Indeed it is!

Including it was a brilliant idea - it really makes the model, as it provides a complete backstory. Well done on this touch Dave.

Picture 1 shows the blackboard before folding and cutting out.

Picture 2 shows the six pieces that make up the double-sided board.

Assembly is straightforward. I reinforced the blackboard "legs" at the bottom by brushing them with white glue - this stiffens them and stops them flapping in the wind!

Picture 3 - The final result!

Pictures 4 and 5 - The front and back of the blackboard - each side has a story to tell and should be read.

I shall have to make aged visitors put on their reading glasses!

And here's a picture of the finished result - the model awaiting its finishing spray of matt varnish!

Once varnished I will take more pictures.

I also have an idea for using it that I may develop and try if I have time later today.

Great build Kevin. Santa would be proud. Merry Christmas, and thank you for the build thread.

Maybe Kevin can lead a Koolwheelz Group Build next year?
Wouldn't that be fun and informative?
Everyone say "do it!".
