Chuck wagon
Hi all !
Here is my version of the "Chuck wagon" designed by Olli (thanks Oliver!). The model consists of 4 sheets (scale approximately 1:25). It is a simple and correct basis but incomplete if we wishe to present a realistic version. Many documentations, plans, period and recent photos are available on the web to complete the work. Here are the essential improvements I made: Increase in most of the thicknesses of the parts (paper laminating ), making of the entire handbrake system (paper parts and copper wire), making in paper of the coupling train with ringands, hooks and metal chains, improvement of the driver's seat (paper and copper wire), addition of "mini" hooks for the tarpaulin, fixings for the barrel, a riffle holder with his riffle (paper) and a small box (paper) under the driver's footboard. The rolled blankets were made in paper handkerchief + aluminum strip then tinted (water + acrylic), addition of ropes and hinges, highlighting of metal plates... To complete the whole thing, I made a fabric tarpaulin that I tied with thread on the mini hooks. I wanted to present this model on a diorama in order to highlight it. I made the tools (saw, axes, pickaxes ...) with paper or metal. Most of the other parts are from the https://www.hirstarts.com/ molds completed with paper, metal, balsa, copper wire, then painted, or, are natural materials as for the logs of the campfire . The support is made in paper.

When I was thinking of building this years ago, I downloaded photos of your build to help decide what I would do differently than the base model. This is an exceptional build which came to mind when I saw your post of the stage.
Thank you, sir, for sharing
