Tunny, I wish I had one percent of your ability to create your tree. All of your models are so very interesting, simple when you show and explain but just perfect in size to one another. I know that is a word for that. I've made tires for a Piper Cub using the same way you did but I use card board like a cereal box. Then with my Dremel I could sand and mold the tire the way I thought would be best suited. Another great idea I got from Willygoat. He blows me away. Thank you very much for sharing Tommy. You too are on my blown mind list. May I ask how do you get the paper to seem like wood? Love the box's as well. Love your tree. wc

Having it in the mind is one thing, creating it with the hands is just something else.
Very nice work. Grts, Joost |

Greetings from Alaska.
Very creative and awesome to see! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful skills. Everything looks like it is real. Really admire your attention to detail! Including your ability to translate the detail to a work of art! Your Wife's skills are just as incredible! Those flowers are just beautiful! I can smell their fragrance all the way across the Pacific! A heartfelt , "Thank You!" to both of you! It brings a peaceful feeling to see such grandeur! Mike |

This is absolutely amazing. How did your wife do the flowers? Loving all the detail and looking forward for spring to come so I can go garden myself :-)

Thank you all for all compliment. I'm sorry, lack of vocabulary so I'll try to explain in the simplest way possible.
To Wad Cutter: that was the first time I made tree from wire, I did try many times to get an "acceptable" one so I think you can make it yourself easily by try and try again. I'm making another tree, maybe a vine to suit this mini scene. For the "wooden pattern" in the paper, you need to "scratch" the paper before apply paint, then use sandpaper (1000 grit) to have a smooth feeling and make your detail become more real. To Papierschnitzel: my wife took inspiration from the wild flowers then used color papers to make them, the process is quite simple and easy to make, each flower has two "petal layers" glued together. In the future I'll try to make them more complicated with every petal separated. Thank you again, i'm so happy with your comments.
