One of a kind Soviet bomber K-7 takes flight
One of a kind Soviet bomber takes flight - Model Airplane News YouTube Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-JkPZGGr7Y I wouldn't have a clue on how to bring this to the card stock world. And I don't think I want to know. Besides being ugly , who would take this model on? wc |

Only a face its' mother could love. Ugly ain't the half of it. Really amazed that 99lb thing can fly. I guess with enough power my refrigerator could fly.

It makes perfect sense to have an aerial battleship in those days.
Even Star Wars has space battleships. Isaac

It's not an aerodynamic shape but it has a certain eccentric beauty in it, almost like the f-117 nighthawk is, where it's just so weird you can t help but be in awe

Another example of how a real-life disaster can be a great model. The book "The World's Worst Aircraft" points out that this 1933 design's wing had a greater span than a B-52, and had seven engines -- six tractors and a center-line pusher. Unfortunately, the tail-boom structure failed due to sympathetic vibrations with the engines, causing a crash on its 11th flight, killing 15 men. Such failures were not tolerated in Stalin's USSR, so he had Kalinin executed five years later for "sabotage and espionage."

The Kalinin K7 reminds be of Bruce McCall's "Colonel Howdy Bixby's Forgotten Warbirds" piece;
