Oh wow! What a wonderful find John. That's been placed near the top of my bookmarks for sure.
Your comment "At the bottom of the page are pictures of dozens of the wonderful paper models Mr. Vyškovský designed that we cannot get." made me smile a little though. Depending on your outlook... Unfortunately/fortunately a lot of the ABC published models are available to download for free ... but as far as I know ... only on Pirate sites which can be a tad dangerous to visit without your wits about you and strong malware protection in place. If a legal site is available to get (or buy) these models I have not been able to find it. Surely these wonderful models must be legally archived and available somewhere ? If someone can put a finger on this one for me I'd be grateful. Tower Bridge ABC no20-24/45 1-6/47 (October-November 2000 January-March 2002), M1:200 So unusual for a model of the Bridge to include parts of the ramp either side. (I do have an Allen Rose one that does, but that is a very big footprint model). See that underpass on the southern end ... in there is a Newsagent shop that occupies what used to be the entrance hall for Tower Biridge Undrground station. I was born down there on platform 3.

Slight modification on search terms and I found the ABC no20 T.Bridge model. Seems they published two, pretty much the same, but the later one was extended to include the small tower suspension anchors to the land, and thus included the ramp sections I was looking for.

try papermodel.cz for some of the ABC models you might like to get
on the button bar at the top of the page, click on Shop, and it will drop you into the shop Rick

Cool, that will be an interesting look around. Cheers Rick.
Pity it won't play with google or Windows translate though. That could make life a little difficult when it comes to buying anything.

Rickstef, thanks for the. cz link, there is a lot to explore there
JohnM: Some of the pages will not work with Chrome or Google translated, others will. I have not "played" with the pages, but they probably have some sort of unfriendly java script that blocks direct translation. It might be possible to get around the blocking by experimenting with the privacy and security settings of your browser. Last edited by John Wagenseil; 03-01-2017 at 09:10 AM. Reason: b |
