ISS station 1:100 stl file

If you are the owner of 3D printers, or you know someone who would be able to print something for you, then we have something for you. A detailed model of the International Space Station, which qualitatively exceeds most of the available models and is still from the Czech creator Josef Vladík. The model was completed a few days ago and contains two hundred unique parts. In addition, the detailed elaboration of the station is very successful in fact.

If you've ever been to a science center, museum, or technical park, you might come across an astronaut section and some models there. The International Space Station is a grateful model that is dimensionally impressive, very articulated and looks nice. However, most of these models have two major flaws. One of them is the punishable outdated - they usually contain modules canceled decades ago and then also their low detail. Most of these models were created before the expansion of 3D printing and often required a lot of improvisation. Now you have the opportunity to have a model that is current and elaborated in detail (the author is preparing to supplement the current Bartolomeo platform, which was connected to the European Columbus module a month ago). In addition, we are glad that in this way we can support a Czech artist who really spent a lot of time on the model.

Mr. Vladík revealed that he created the model according to an available model from NASA, which, however, was not suitable for printing in itself, as it contained many intertwined components and shortcomings. Therefore, it was necessary to convert each module to a format for Solidworks and manually edit and repair each part so that it could be printed well and at the same time correspond to reality as much as possible.

If you are afraid of the complexity of the model, you will surely be pleased that it contains instructions and technical documentation for each part. And for that, hat down, certainly even this not so visible work, cut enough time from the total two months that the author spent in his free time creating this model.

You can download the model for free here.
