My other Titanic and Britannic builds
Well before building and re designing my titanic papermodels I have been building other models of the Titanic, I thought some of you might be interested to see them, so I'll post them here;
My first Titanic (1:570) model ever, well there's nothing much left that now, It had smacked to the floor once, been repaired, and smacked to the floor another time. It was moved to the attic for several years, and now being remodeled into the wreck of the Titanic. Later it was replaced by a larger model in the 1:400 scale; Then later I had build a Titanic model in the small 1:1200 scale wich I had turned into a model of the wreck later; Some years later I decided to buy another 1:1200 scale model, combine it with some parts of my wrecked 1:570 scale model and design a model of the wreck of Titanic's sister ship, Britannic; Then just last year, on a rainy sunday afternoon I was searching the internet for a free papermodel of the Titanic to build, and from one thing came another.. Thanks for your comments Peter, the first model is the 1:400 Revell model,
Both of the wreck models are made from 1:1200 Titanic models from Revell. I have seen, and also build, the sinking Titanic model myself. Wich huge Titanic model do you have for sale? I have the 1997 Taschen Titanic (Titanic Paper Model), in fact I have two of them, but I haven't build it yet. Greetings, Jerry |

Well.. I will take her down from the attic today, but I am busy redesigning a model of the Britannic in her White Star livery (and making some corrections to the hospitalship version) Then I have to testbuild her before re-releasing it. Perhaps I will indeed turn the Taschen Titanic into a long term project :D
Next to some other long term projects (remodelling my first 1:570 Titanic into the wreck is another) Here are some pictures of the first remodelling steps; This is my first Titanic model after smacking onto the floor twice and having spend some time on the attic. The first steps in remodelling the wrecked decks and ripped sides I am using the same techniques as I did on the Britannic wreck (see here (Dutch) Modelbrouwers.nl modelbouw • Toon onderwerp - Bouwverslag wrak HMHS Britannic 1:1200) I don't know if it will work out or not, but we will see.. |

I never knew this book existed. I would love to get one to build. I have the one from Currell but it's on my to do list. I've never built a commercial model before and I think it would be a blast. How big is this beauty (the book version) when finished (how big of a shelf do I need).
