IJN Kongo 1/700 Old Mold Fujimi Kit
Group;
This water line Fujimi 1/700 IJN Kongo, was a kit that started my love for scratch building. I'm still new to model building and I'm still working on getting a completed paper model posted. This kit only cost me about $10 at the LHS. It was on the reduced rack and I enjoy IJN ships. With the help of GMM PE set, some odds and ends from the work bench, wire, card stock and plastic card, it was a great education. Many members of this group have given me some very much needed insight. I would like to thank Jay (Threadhead) for some of his great postings on this site and others on building ship models. I would also like to thank Deckape for his support. I have along way to go, but looking forward to the education I'm getting from this group. Let me know what you guys think of the model. Respectfully Sam

Hi Sam,
Nice job on your Kongo, bet you loved folding up all that Photo Etch and mounting all those towers didn't you? lol Now that you are in a paper model forum, you can go to a 1/200 scale ship model and really get into some serious detailing as I am finding with the models that I have been working on.

Jay;
Yes sir, it was a great learning experince. I'm up for a 1/200 card model now. I have a 1/300 Akagi in paper. I think I need to wait on that one. I will try a free one from DN first to get my feet wet. Thanks for the help and will let you know what I start next. Sam
