I'm building a droid, you wanna see?

Okay, sorry I used an annoying Anakin quote.

But I really am building a droid. An MSE-6 Mouse Droid to be precise. See, I was gifted with a 7-channel remote/receiver and several servos. It was intended to spark an interest in R/C aircraft, but all it did was make me want to build a droid. First I wanted to build R2-D2 or one of his cousins, but that's a little too complicated for a first project. So I figured it couldn't hurt to try a Mouse Droid.

I don't have any pics yet, but I have bought a forward/reverse speed control, a 55s turn motor, a 7.5v battery, and I have started to cut the metal for the chassis.

I plan on having the following features: complete R/C control (duh!), sound effects, opening side panels, and opening code cylinder storage cell (it's visible in the old Essential Guide to Droids entry on the Mouse Droid; it's right under either of the two greeble strips on top of the shell).

If you're unfamiliar with this droid, here's a pic:

And if you want a paper model, here are a couple (Mike Haggard's is better):
