Beautiful work, Inky. Must confess to my own aspirations in that direction, especially since inheriting my father's scroll saw. But intarsia -- fitting together pieces of wood incontrasting colors -- strikes me as the pinnacle of scroll saw work. Have you any experience with that art/craft form?

Yale, I love intarsia work but and would love to learn how to do it but the only thing that keeps me away from it is........ all that stinking sanding, I hate sanding.I actually did a piece the other day. It is a SKS, the only thing that is not wood is the magazine and the fore grip handle and the scope. The stock came off one of my sks's so I had to hand carve all the bold and mail chambers. Believe me, I cussed the whole time I was sanding this thing. But it was for the preachers son who is into army things and sniper rifles.

Inky, I own a scroll saw. I cannot imagine coming close or even figuring out how you did that. You artistry is magnificent. Do you sell these/ I bet that would sell for a lot of money in Connecticut. Really beautiful craftsmanship.

Thank you guys. Yes I do sell them but I don't like to. I usually just make them for people and give them away but I get bitched out for giving them away and not making any money off of them. I am not into it for the money, I do it because I love it and I love making people happy. Same goes for my paper models, I have built a lot for people and never charged them a dime, and every time I do that my mom will get on her soap box. Oh well, it is my life and I in joy doing it for people.

If any one wants to place an order I can cut any pattern. I wish I would of taken pictures of the planes I have cut, they turned out nice. Here is a link to the patterns of the 3 planes I cut, the B-24, E-3, and P-51. Auto-Aviation-Boats :

Steve has a lot of nice patterns if you wanna look through all of them.
