Nice, Kaz, very nice. One of the teachers here at my school site does a didjeridu workshop for the kids.

When not building card models, I can frequently be found doing chores for my wife. When I can escape the chores, I build wooden ship models and hunt & fish (mostly trout fishing). A pic here of the last wooden ship I completed (a heavily kit-bashed schooner built as a visual aid for our school), along with a pic of the hen turkey I bagged on our property last fall.

How hard is a Didjeridu to learn to play?

Didje playing is quite involving. The drone is quite easy to get to grips with, animal noises are also easy (scream, growl, and holler down the stick, while keeping the drone.) The old circular breathing, once mastered and having got your head around what seems imposible becomes part of the rhythm machine. Bouncing the diaphragm, keeping rhythm, 'tounging' (Ask a bugle/trumpet etc etc player) and overtoning all makes up a rich tapestry that is the didjeridu.

I also have a few hobbies besides the paperstuff....
I try to do some workout every day on my bike or walking in the mountains.
Fishing for mountaintrout is also a passion I have.
And of course alpine skiing in the wintertime

Hey Kaz,

Great shots! Strangely enough I was wondering whatever happened to Rolf. Memories of "Nick K. Teen and Al K. Hall" bit along with "Tie me Kangaroo Down" and "In the Wet" are still with us in the live bit. He's looking rather chipper to say the least.
I've thought about mess'in with a Didge for years now and might give it a go. Kind of like a single drone from a bagpipe played by mouth upside down. Get a threesome going with a Bhuddist two voice choral could prove to be an interesting piece for orchestration....,

Interesting instrument, that Didjeridu. I have a CD of Down Under music which included quite a bit of it. I much rather listen to it than Bagpipes.

As for my time when not modeling, I wander the high desert with camera in hand, in search of that one National Geographic special photo. I also pedal my fat arse around in hopes of getting it to look a bit thinner. But when I am unable to do either of these and can't model, I work on my stamp collection, work on some of my writings, or catalog some of my "critters in amber."

Having no job means I have a lot of time on my hands 8v)

Well, right now I'm studying hard for the Flight Instructor rating. That takes up most of my time when I'm not working. Other hobbies include the violin and viola, tweaking some fun items that move soft metal projectiles at high rates of speed, and doing stuff at the family ranch.
