Origami, a Google Doodle
Hi all,
Not sure if you have seen the doodle that Google has up for today. Today is the 101 birthday of Akira Yoshizawa, who died in 2005 on his birthday. Yoshizawa was one of the first authors I picked up when I came back to the States, I found one of his books at Epcot Center, Disneyworld. Just wanted to spotlight the doodle, and one of the Masters in Origami Rick

Yoshizawa's contributions to origami was immeasurable. I think he was granted the title of national artist in Japan.
Unlike super complex origami, his models only have a few folds. But his works exhibit lifelike qualities that rival models that have thousands of folds. |
