That's nice.

You will be able to adjust the focus to just a centre point. Try that.

New Year's Eve

Just noticed my reply to Kevin's question went into limbo. The shots were from my garage door were the tree overhangs the driveway.

Some more this morning. A shrub jay. Then a female cardinal walking towards the corner of the garage which is were I was standing when I shot the previous ones. A male cardinal checking out my raised bed I'm getting ready for spring. Then tonight my driveway gate and the snow that started about 3:30pm. I've been told that usually there's maybe 1 or 2 snows a years up here and that they're usually light and melt off in a day. Considering that I think I saw snow flakes maybe 3 times in the Phoenix Metro area in the 20+ years I lived there and never saw any in Orange County CA, this is a snowfall to me.

Very nice snow shots Wayne. And I also like the woodpecker.

------------

Glen - nice shots. You must be pleased!

The second shot is a real cracker. What bird is it?

Kevin I am really having fun...the birds are a Red Breasted and a White Breasted nuthatch. Tough little birds that don't migrate. Today a couple thrushes, a Tounsend's Solitaire and an Am. Robin female.
So nice to have an improved camera..

Nice shots, Glen. Will second Don on asking what camera you got and what lens are you using.

(Well, Santa promised me a new camera, after mine quit this summer. Really liked the Nikon D3400, but by xmas this was the D3500, so some benefit in waiting. It commonly is bundled with 18-55 and 70-300 lens as a kit and that what I'm using. Easy, SLR good for me, as I don't have to put on my readers to look at the screen, can see better through the viewfinder for focusing.. really like it so far. Quicker focusing and better image quality even hand held in poor light as pretty much these were.)
