For this area of the country, Cooper's Hawk tend to be more common, although the Sharp-shinned Hawk does have some overlapping year round territory in the mid Atlantic/North East of the US

Swan in the Baltic Sea

Looks like a lot of you like birds so I'll add something from myself. Maybe you'll find these photos interesting. Swan in the Baltic Sea.

I took these pictures on September 4th this year, in Gdynia, Gulf of Gdansk.

Thanks for the pictures, it's cool to see that region, mute swans in the wild.
Kevin I don't use a tripod ever ha, although if I can brace against something it helps, strangely my camera usually manages to make up for it anyway and usually get a few clear shots, but not always for sure. Quite a few I'm in the boat on top of it added motion...

Eagle, this one banded likely from the local area, lucky to get this close but from a boat but still one of the better eagle shots I have. I have a tripod but don't carry it when hiking a bit heavy for that to me. (cant use in a boat of course)

Magnificent image of the eagle, Glen.

We occasionally see them circling the creek behind our house.

About a month ago I saw an eagle not far from my urban home. I see them with some frequency when I visit my folks in the country, but was quite surprised to see one in town. I have yet to get a good picture of one. Congratulations

Super shot Glen!

It is identical (really) in appearance, to our Fish Eagle.
