Ok - if you have a little garden, or a quiet spot, stick up a bird feeder with some bird seed and see what develops. If you have a tree this is a good spot, as birds often like to "queue" on a branch for a feeder!
If you want to make one there are plenty of plans on the Internet. You can also make a feeder that is Dove or Pigeon proof as well. But initially any feeder will probably do. Millet makes a good general feed for starters. And a dish with a little fruit.

Well, it was unusual, but Sunday was the northern migration of buzzards. I've seen them in a massive group heading south for the winter a couple times, but this was the first time I saw the large group heading north.

I saw even more magpies at the zoo!!! I think magpies are beautifully coloured.

I think you are right!
The one I found is this......... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_magpie It has a prominent blue streak on the side (which would be the "decider" for this bird), but I could not see this colour in your photo.
