With the end of winter, spring migrants and better lighting makes for the best bird picture opportunities pretty much for the whole year. For some reason I have been really lucky with water birds in the last week, a once in a decade bird for me a Harlequin duck, a pretty pair of common mergs and loons. Got to love springtime!

Good to see you out there with your camera Glen.
You get images of birds and ducks we don't see in other parts of the country.

Great images, Glen, I love waterbirds and don't see so many now that we no longer visit Cape May. There is a pretty good assortment at nearby Boiling Springs, mowever.

Our goldfinches are now vivid yellow and the usual assortment of backyard birds is out in force.

Don

You would be surprised if you met with a local birder how many of these can be seen in your area, true we have more western forms of some of the same birds, but you have more of some classes of birds than we do here...although would need to find out how to find them
