Glen, thanks for those.
Male and female pair of Mynas again! What is the bird in the 3rd pic. Some kind of plover/thicknee?

Well, just got back from the bush. Devoted a lot of time to birding, and although I only saw 71 species in 6 days (100+ is the norm usually), had some really good sightings of some really rare and unusual birds.
Same story with the animals as well! When I get a gap and can download and sort (2000 pics to check - the penalty of using digital), I will put up some of the more interesting ones.

Looking forward to seeing these (to me) exotic creatures.
I hope to soon post images of a few of the more pedestrian Boose back garden birds. Don |

Ooh should be good to see your pics Kevin and Don
Our locals are nesting or have even fledged...5 pairs of swallows, 4 Violet Green pairs and one Tree, have a cool flycatcher on the same nest as last year (empid ) , juvenile Juncos, Towhees, Song Sparrows...Summer brings a bit of restraint to the morning chorus though and once the swallows are out things become relatively quiet. Heard a Swainson's Thrush this morning out the door for work today though...

Those are great pictures Glen.
That first one is a real "keeper" as well, with the composition and colour contrasts.
