Great pictures all!

Doug - I like your Brown Thrasher - lovely markings.

Dong-Woo - Great feeding pics. Do not often see pics like these!

Cute mother birds are hard workers (like all mothers!) those look like tree sparrows a bit different from our English sparrows? We are barely into summer but fledgling birds are around, even this far north. Goldfinches, Song Sparrows, Towhees, House finches about. We have been very much enjoying the birds this year! Any pictures Kevin?

The sparrows come regularly now (the young one is a frequent visitor, and it's growing fast!!), they come to our window and sometimes chirp through the window demanding food... I think I've spoiled them. Oops..

The Bulbuls sing very often, not as much as the sparrows do (all day they chatter around our tree) but in certain times of the day, you can hear their unique chirps. But they are hard to photograph.. Or I'm always out of luck. Whenever I pick up my camera and go outside, they're already at the next few blocks.

I got some photos when they stopped by on the telephone lines in the evening. Not very clear, but you can make out some distinctive features.

The last photo was taken a few days ago. It would be funny if you come up with some captions!!
----
About the young sparrow... It constantly makes really fast but small flapping motions with its wings when it's on land, and I'm curious to know the purpose of this behaviour that is not present in fully grown Eurasian tree sparrows.

I have seen young birds do that rapid wing flapping to get the parent birds to feed it. That young one better watch out doing it on the ground because it can attract cats or other predators.

Cats... I really hope the cats stay away from them. The sparrows only come when I feed them indirectly, and they're off when I move. They don't stay on places where cats can jump on them, so I hope they'll be OK.

I went out my door to see a Barn Swallow quietly having some alone time. Usually they fly in pairs, but I don't think this fella is single, looking at the way it was scanning for a good nesting place. These birds are really hard to photograph (they fly away real fast!!!) so I think this is my lucky day!! Ha!!

This is a common urban gray crow (Corvus cornix). This is the family whose nest is on a birch tree next to my window. About 5 meters. The picture was taken about 6 years ago.
