Great eagle pics - and here we are getting all excited at 4 blue tits by our lounge window.

Those are absolutely magnificent eagles, the shots are full of life and motion. I love them!!

I am having a wonderful day today, Bulbuls coming from left, right and centre, all trying to get a bite off our Persimmons!!
It was hard to get some clear photos with reasonable lighting, especially with my sister's DSLR, which I'm figuring out how to use properly.
I ditched my lunch multiple times whenever I heard these birds outside!!

I finally captured these three pictures with our very old Samsung WB150F smart cam, which often does random things like changing modes.. Not the best photos, but they're definitely the best I've captured so far!!

I'm so happy...

Nice pics of the Bulbul. Those birds have some interesting colors and patterns.

I do not remember ever seeing a bulbul in the nine years I lived in Korea (1962-3, 1972-3, 1974-8, 1984-7, plus periodic visits). What I remember are sparrows and magpies (our hiking club was called the Mountain Magpies (산 까치). Although perhaps some of those "sparrows" were actually bulbuls.

In any event, I sure did enjoy your photographs, which seem perfect to me.

Don

Very nice pictures of a beautiful bird! Thank you I have never seen those either, only the introduced Bulbuls to So Cal and Hawaii, no native ones. Very cool

Glad that you liked the photos!!

I read in a Japanese research that these birds started to breed and thrive in urban cities from the 1980s. Bulbuls are usually quite hard to see closely, but on rare occasions, they don't mind me watching them up close!!

Don, you might have at least heard their vocalization during your stay here and in Japan. Their call is really unique, most of the time they make high pitched screeching noises that can be very easily picked up by the ear, even from quite a distance. They often annoy people with this noisy call, especially when one bird starts singing, and several others join in and make a noisy racket!!!

Now, here's something I captured today that could bring smiles to your faces..

Few things more entertaining than dabbling ducks!

Today was a cloudless pleasant fall day and a bluebird came to visit. I cannot remember ever seeing one in our back garden in November.

This was a very quick snapshot. No good as a picture, but adequate to identify the bird.

Dong-Woo: I would certainly like to believe that I heard the sound of the bulbul, even if I didn't know it at the time.

I like to watch some European bird feeders on youtube and the Blue tit is a great little chickadee, I really like the way the stripes wrap around the back of the "cap" so pretty.
