I make another Faerie on paper

I use a translucent Vellum paper. It have a golden finish and some texture. It is not see through but have a nice glow when you put light behind it.

Now, I do not edit this photo but if for any reason some one have objection then please have myself or the moderator remove it or I may edit it. But I post it as I make it. I consider it artistic.

The actual piece was done in this fashion:

I use a rubber stamp and sticky black ink to impress the design. The ink is then coated lightly with heat embossing powder which sticks just to the ink. When I heat the paper with a heat gun tool, the embossing powder becomes like a raised plastic line and have the feel and shine of plastic raised up.

Then I will color the design using special marking pens. The inks are translucent also and I apply them in layes. I will also use some color pencil or crayon. They apply so thin as to not be opaque.

The actual piece it is probably 7,5 cm x 4 cm so it is not so large. In real life it looks more beautiful than to be enlarged so much and overall it have a gold metallic hue that is not visible at all. To make this photo I tape the picture over the kitchen window in the sun.

I buy the rubber stamps on eBay as part of a Tarot card set.

Beautiful work, and a good description of the process.. You could be selling these. Better then 90% of the stuff I see vendors selling down here on the Venice boardwalk!!

Thank you in the past I have sold many of these (to the point I have none of the finished ones left). Usually I cut the figure out and fix it in a little cardboard shadow box (that is also a rubber stamp project.)

Beautiful work and especially touching for me and my wife as we know that such creatures live in the woods on our property. That is why we call out home Fairy Hollow.
