Cross-Stitch
Hi All,
Took a break from the paper and went soft (cloth and thread) I started this before Chemo therapy, after chemo my fingers were "sensative" and could not stand holding the needle. Now a few years later things are better so I am trying to finish this. Hope the image does it justice. George |

That is really nice, what are the dimensions?
Cross stitch is on my list of things to try before I die! I really would like to try a face, is there much of that available? Thanks for posting, Swampfox |

I agree with SF... very nice indeed. My wife has completed a lot of Xstitch they are very nice also. @SF.. there are sooooo many designs available in Xstitch, you'd be amazed ! and yes, faces are available.... also software so that you can scan an image print it then Xstitch it - it's a fantastic hobby.

SF- as Peter says there is lots of info out there data- stitched area: 12" x 16.5" cloth: 28 count linen floss: two strands of DMC cotton some metalic thread some beads stitching: over two threads i.e. 14 stitches per inch George |

Yep, embroidery can be a very soothing past-time, a complete change from paper modelling! A couple of my efforts attached.....

Looks great, did a bit of embroidery when I was a kid. One of the many things I'd looking forward to in retirement or 2nd childhood...I hope.
