That big ol' spider is still in the same spot behind an outbuilding. This time it has a snack.

Web

Last weekend I went to a local wetland looking for a White Heron that spends a lot of time there. Of course, it wasn’t there. So I captured some images anyway.
There was a lot of dew on everything, so this spider web stood out.
I didn’t see the owner anywhere around, but the web made a good photo.

Well, haven't posted a picture for a while, so here is one to continue the spider theme!

This is a pic of what is commonly called a "Rain Spider" here (don't know the scientific name).

They are pretty common in the house, and we leave them alone as they do no harm.

They are also however often at risk from the cats, so if this is apparent I generally move them to a safer spot!

Generally a pretty large spider - this one is about 4 inches across.

Err, no, I can't see Mrs M going along with that idea. She won't go to bed if there's a 1/4" size spider on the ceiling here in UK. In Cyprus, I brought home a couple of ghost chit chats, to see off the mossies. They were only about 3" long and almost invisible, but she freaked out every time one of them moved.
