Well here are some animals from our last break.
Very dry, major drought. Picture 1 - Alpha male vervet. This one ended up biting my wife! Very hungry so they are very aggressive. Picture 2 - Immature vervet. Pictures 3 and 4 - Zebra. The first picture gives you a good idea of the very dry drought conditions. Picture 5 - Nyala females (another one in the shade behind).

A Bush Lizard
And a bush lizard from the break.
Do not know anything about lizards, so do not know what type of a lizard he is! However, he is very well camouflaged, even on the grass and I suspect he will be able to adjust his colouration as required. He will definitely need the camouflage to survive - with the high density of birds pf prey that are around.

Neat looking lizard, what's his length approximately?

The coloring and camo on that lizard are great.

Whulsey - About 12", with the body being around 6". Roughly!
Actually pretty camouflaged in real life Doug. I only saw him because he moved, otherwise I would have missed him!

Thanks Kevin, that was about what I figured. Just hard to tell sometimes without a definite reference point is this something that can hide under a wood chip or is big enough to run up and take a bite of your leg.

Whulsey - here is a larger lizard that will take large bites out of ones leg!
Picture 1 - A couple of weeks back I was sitting by the water minding my own business and watching the birds when this large fellow cruised past. Fortunately I was holding the camera at the time as he appeared all of a sudden. He was big - in the background is a grey heron - which is not a small bird (stands at about 40 inches). Picture 2 - After he had gone past I went to the edge and took this unusual shot of him heading away.

That's a big ol' croc.
But I guess not as big as some of them get.
