HMS "Sovereign of the Seas"
Thought I'd share this with everyone. Building the wooden model of the HMS "Sovereign of the Seas" model as advertised on television. Must say more painstaking than paper but eh, can only try. Its in a 1/84 scale and will be about 1m long and 1.3m tall on completion. In the progress picture on the bottom right hand side you can see the small skiff

She did a excellent job. Reminds me of the saying "one day when I grow up" hehe. I just posted pics of a horizontal drill I scratch built as well, while sometime frustrating and unnerving it is quite interesting and great practice

Hi I live in South Africa. They advertise them every now and again. This one was advertised about 3 months ago. Its a laser cut kit that is delivered weekly. That's the only catch, waiting for the next installment
