My friend Brad in SD has one of those Duck Foot pistols, but the main spring is missing. In the Gena Davis Cut throat Island, one of her crew is seen loading a 18 barreled flintlock ducks foot, but sadly, the shot of him firing the thing must have ended up on the cutting room floor!

I had a good '60 Colt Army .44 that I could hit pie plates at 20 yards if I loaded it carefully with 25 grains of powder, a small wad, and a round ball. Another '60 I had by the same manufacturer, Petracellie I think, anyhow, past 10 yards I could not hit anything with it. My dad had a used up .44 Remington that we converted to cartrage (blanks only) for his old west persona.

I used to have swords for some of my impressions (ren-fest, F&I War, Civil War and so on) but I only have owned a couple of "real" swords. I had a nice reproduction of an 1840 light artillery sword reproduced by Ame's Company. I had a real nice rapiar once, and I had a D gaurd knife made from a cut down or broaken original 1833 British Officer sword. Sadly, all have been sold on eBay over the years to pay for other priorities, like kids! No regrets though. My wife still has a real nice sword and dagger set reproduced in the style of the late 1300, and she has a Gil Hibben dagger too. I managed to hold on to my saber bayinet that gose to my 1855 Harpers Farry short rifle.
