MetalEarth's Millenium Falcon
My first build thread. This is a metal model of the Millennium Falcon as put out by MetalEarth. The quality of the kit is excellent with precision laser cut parts and photo-etched details. They also put out a ton of other kits including autos, airplanes, ships and architectural models.
This is the bridge with a dual cannon and main sensor antenna. Regards, Phil |

Those models look good when completed. Here is a site with some 360º views of the models.

Some progress. Attached the side-port and part of the main hull. Of course, initially attached the hull upside down. Had to take it part and redo it the right way round. Painful.

do you have any problems with finger prints... would you need to wear gloves to get around that?

No problems with fingerprints since the photo-etched side faces outwards and is relatively fingerprint resistant. I did not use gloves. All in all, a very well constructed kit with excellent detail and fit.

Finished the stand. Attached the lower part of the hull to the stand and then the upper part of the hull to that.
In one of the pictures of the stand you can see an example of the attachment technique. Tabs are slipped through slots and are then twisted or bent to attach two pieces together. Phil |
