My New Toy

I have wanted one of these since I was in college. It is a FiberFab Migi -- a replica of a 1953 MG-TD, VW-powered with a fiberglass body and way too much fun to drive.

I bought it on Ebay earlier this month.

That looks fun to drive! When I was eight years old my mother gave me a 57 MGA Roadster she bought off her brother, then several months later she asked me if she could trade it for a family car (79 Ford LTD esquire station wagon). At eight another eight before I could get my license seemed like forever so I said yes. WISH I HAD IT TODAY!

My first thought was 'if I only didn't live in Missouri', then I saw you were in Wisconsin...

This isn't your winter car, I hope

WOW! That's a terrific car for scooting around campus. Hope you have a safe parking place though, as I'm sure not everyone appreciates and respects such.

Lucky you. I've wanted to own a British sportscar for the past 45 years or so. Since affordable TD's are rarer than hen's teeth, your FiberFab replicar is the next best thing. I'm jealous.

Beautiful! Looks like its crackingly good clean fun! Enjoy every minute of it.
Funny, across the pond here, t'is big yank cars we are wanting. Well, i got the '64 an a half mustang i always wanted, 15 years ago, but, how i ended up with a beige '79 diesel Coupe deVille as my daily driver is still beyond me!

I read an article about these once, believe it was Car and Driver that said this is a case where the replica was better than the original. Just think, with fiberglass you don't have to worry about rust damage. That's a really nice find.
